THE HISTORY

The Company dates back to 1958 when two textile artisans with the exact same name “Mario Cecchi”, met. They shared a passion for home design and in order to decorate living areas with new products rooted in their cultural heritage, they established Cecchi& Cecchi- which in turn was acquired by Forte srl in 2007- and launched a home collection, remarquable in taste and quality, which has ever since told wonderful stories about Made in Italy Luxury items. The Company produces all kinds of home textiles: blankets, bedspreads, plaids, in a variety of natural and precious materials: cashmere, wool, alpaca, mohair, linen, cotton, silk, metallic threads. A selection of scarves and smart fashion accessories completes the offer. All lines, presented in the most important international trade fairs and followed with interest by home and fashion editors, are distributed in selective specialty and department stores in Europe, the USA and Japan

COMPANY

For the past sixty years Cecchi & Cecchi has been renowned for its accurate craftsmanship solidlly combined with technological innovation: jacquard looms, double weft beam looms, leno looms in double width, dobby looms with 24 different hooks-up , but also for new finishing techniques, creation of prints and applied motives. From style to production ( woven and knitted in tuscan facilities) from up to date ideas to interpretation of fashion trends, joy and amusement co exist with research of new fibers, fresh designs and fashion forward finishings
Forte annually invests resources to become more competitive by focusing on continuous research of new products, corporate image and sales force at international level. With the project Forteworld (co-financed under Tuscany 2014-2020) the company has, among other activities, obtained a certification for a family of its carded products : "Marchio Cardato". This certification is promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Prato and is intended to enhance the company's attachment to the productive tradition of its territory and to "Made in Italy".
